It was a big day for Early Head Start! "Outdoor Play" was the theme of this socialization. The children and parents enjoyed the sunshine and got to hunt easter eggs, paint and eat pizza.

Ms. Parker’s 8th grade language arts class just finished the novel, “The Adventures of Ulysses”. They were given 7 options to engage in a fun and interactive project to round out the unit. As you can see it was tasty and educational! #WVEd

James Monroe sophomore Natalie Broyles was accepted into the WV Governor’s School of the Arts for summer 2023. Natalie will represent Monroe County for three weeks at Marshall University where she will grow her expertise and explore other area of the arts. You may recognize Natalie from the Marching Mavericks as their featured dancer in the 2022 season.

Attention high school students and parents: Registration is now open for fall online college courses. The cost of these courses is covered by Monroe County Schools.
