
Today, the Central Office Administration honored Teacher Appreciation Day by providing cake at each school! We truly appreciate the hard work that all of our teachers do each day!

We are pleased to inform you should be able to see your child’s 2025 West Virginia General Summative Assessment results online within 24 hours after completing the ELA, math, or science tests. Your child’s school will provide information on how to access these scores as students begin testing. Please look for a letter to come home on the following dates:

This is a reminder that there will be another volunteer training at Mountain View School tomorrow evening 5/6/25 at 6:00pm.

We want to recognize 3 of our JMHS students for doing such an awesome job at the National 4-H Home Site and Land Judging Competition in Oklahoma during the week of April 25th-May 2nd! Congratulations to Lainey Taylor for finishing in 9th place in the nation in Home Site and 8th place in the nation in Land Judging. Congratulations to Katelin Fullen on coming in 9th place in the nation in the Land Judging competition. Congratulations to Eli Broyles on coming in 7th place in the nation in Home Site and 7th place nationally in Land Judging. Our team came in 3rd place in the nation in Home Site and 2nd in the nation in Land Judging…congratulations to these students and the team for their outstanding accomplishments on the national level!


Natalie Broyles has been invited to represent James Monroe High School at the WV Arts Alive Showcase on May 2 at 7:00pm in Charleston.
“Arts Alive is the West Virginia Department of Education’s annual event to showcase outstanding arts education and student achievements in public schools. The work included in Arts Alive is selected from state arts conferences, festivals, and exhibits throughout West Virginia by a competitive submission or invitation.”

These kids are working SO hard this week & Vegas is coming to Lindside!
♦️On Saturday, May 3rd, the front doors will be open from 6:00-7:00 pm for the public to view.
♠️ Students can check into prom from 7:00-8:00 pm & at 8:00 pm the doors will lock.
♥️ Students will not be permitted to leave until after we crown the king & queen at 10:30pm.
♣️ Prom will end at 11:00 pm

Congratulations to seniors, Alison Miller, William Jackson, and Hannah Rhodes!! They will be joining the Concord University track team next year.

Congratulations to the PMS History Bowl Team who placed 5th and MVS History Bowl Team who placed 8th in the state competition today. We are proud of both teams!
