Attention Parents of Homeschool Students in grades 3-8 and 11: It is that time of year to begin thinking about end-of-year testing. Assessments for homeschool students are required in grades 3, 5, 8, & 11. Monroe County Schools offers testing in the following grade levels: 3-8, & 11. There are different assessment options that are available for you to choose for your child/children. They are as follows: 1. Standardized Test given by a certified person/organization 2. Portfolio evaluated by a certified teacher 3. WVGSA State Test/SAT School Day (11th grade) - given to Monroe County Schools Students If you choose the WVGSA/SAT School Day for the end of year assessment for your child/children, then please complete the link at the bottom to register. We must receive it no later than Friday, December 13, 2024. If you choose the WVGSA/SAT option, then your child/children's name(s) will be given to the school that they would be attending if they were enrolled in the public-school system. You will need to contact the Principal/Administrator of that school, and they will give you the testing dates for your child/children. Your child/children will report to that location on their scheduled test dates and complete the WVGSA/SAT along with the other students in the school. If you should have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact me. I will be glad to assist in any way that we are able. My contact information is as follows: btuggle@k12.wv.us (Bobbie Tuggle, Director of Technology and Assessment Coordinator) (304) 646-1650 Thank you for your time, and I hope that everyone is having a great school year thus far! https://forms.office.com/r/UFqvNjtscp

Are you wondering if your child has their required immunizations for the upcoming school year? Do you have medical records that need to be sent in for the nurse? Are you wondering if your child's medical order has been received yet? You can address these concerns in one location, your student's health portal. If you have not signed up, make sure to do so! This will also allow you to monitor when your child sees the nurse and the expiration date of medications they have at school. If you have not received the registration email, reach out to the County School Nurse Jessica Thomas at (304)772-3094 ext. 322 or by email to jessica.r.thomas@k12.wv.us with your child's name, their school, and email address that you wish to use. All emails will come from noreply@studentehr.com Please search your inbox for that prior to contacting the nurse as this is the only way to register.
