Summer School Fun at Peterstown Elementary

Students from Ms. Weiss’ Therapeutic Services Program and Mr. Hancock’s Biomedical Science Program competed at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Houston, Texas. This is a huge competition with hundreds of students in each category. Although we didn’t bring back any medals, we had a great experience sharing the enthusiasm of like-minded students from all around the world. We also visited museums, the Houston Zoo, and other sites around the huge city. While returning home the flight was rerouted due to storms causing us to miss our connecting flight. As a result, students also were able to spend a couple of days sightseeing in New York City. While in NYC students visited Times Square and Rockefeller Center. They were also able to stroll through Central Park before returning to Monroe County.

What a wonderful site to see all of these smiling faces 😀 at the Union IGA on Wednesday! They were rocking the STEM Bus fun. 🚌😎☀️

Monroe County is appreciative of the years of service Coach Matt Sauvage has given to James Monroe High School. He has had a positive impact on the lives of many young people. His record speaks for itself. He led the teams to back-to-back state titles. We wish him the best.

Lake days are fun, especially when you have a STEM Bus 🚌 parked out in front of it.

The STEM Bus picked up some cool kids on a hot day inCashmere. 🚌😎 Also, a famous retired first grade teacher was aboard the bus. ❤️

You have three more opportunities to catch the STEM Bus 🚌 this summer. It will be at Union IGA on Wednesday, July 17, then it'll roll into Lindside again on July 24 at Wickline Funeral Home and the last stop will be on July 25 at the First National Bank in Peterstown. Please don't miss the opportunity to have some fun building cool stuff, getting a book, and having a delicious snack. Bus Driver Ben and Mrs. Janet would love to see you soon. 😎☀️

The STEM Bus is headed to the Lake on Tuesday, July 16th. It will be at Moncove Lake from 10-12. Come on out and do some fun activities and then maybe take a dip in the pool or the lake! See you there 😎🚌
