PES third grade Language/Mathematics Easter Egg Hunt. Students raced to find eggs and complete the problem found inside the eggs. Two students in each third grade classroom with the most correct answers were awarded a prize.

The Monroe County Board of Education meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 5, 2024, will begin at 5:30 at Peterstown Elementary School. We hope this will allow fans time to get to the JMHS Boys Basketball Regional Championship against Greenbrier West and the send off for our JMHS Girls Basketball Team who are headed to states! Let’s Go James Monroe!

Thursday was National School Resource Officer Day and Peterstown PK-8 would like to take a moment to recognize our SRO, Officer Jeffries. Officer Jeffries is a wonderful asset to our school. He keeps us safe and forms bonds with students to help them grow into better people. Thank you Officer Jeffries for all you do! Officer Jeffries’ position is funded by our county levy. #fundedbylevy

Congrats to Mrs. McGlothlin’s class at PES on completing their attendance potato head. They have had 10 days of perfect classroom attendance!
Mrs. Meadows’ class learned all about good manners and being courteous at their Ladies and Gentlemen Valentine’s Day party. The young men escorted each young lady to their seat and pulled it out for them. The young ladies said thank you and then everyone enjoyed some treats while practicing using their manners.
Monday, February 19th is a professional learning day and there will be no school for students.
PES launched One School One Book, today! They are reading The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate. Student met some of the characters at school today including Ivan, George, Julia, and Stella.
